Bomdila

Nestled in the celestial Himalayas, Bomdila is famous for its number of attractions. It is located at an altitude of 3,500 m and remain draped in snow for a major part of the year. It is the headquarters of the west Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh. It is the perfect place to spend summer holidays. There is so much to enjoy at Bomdila. Bomdila, highly influenced by Buddhism is dotted with several Gompas which are one of its tourist attractions. You can dine at the small eating-places to relish traditional Tibetan cuisine. Momos is one of the specialities of this cuisine. Also visit the Craft Centre at Bomdila where amazingly designed dragon carpets, traditional thangka (wall hangings), paintings and masks are on sale.
