Moirang
Moirang is a religious place and a centre of Meithei culture. It is located 45 km from Imphal. This place has a temple which is dedicated to the pre-Hindu deity Thangjing. With the arrival of May every year, this place comes alive with the celebration of a grand festival. Another tourist attraction of Moirang is a memorial and museum which commemorate the unfurling of Indian flag by Indian National Army, under Netaji Subhash Chandra Boss. |
