Occupying a prized place in the north eastern state of Tripura, Agartala is located in close proximity to Bangaladesh, just 2 km away. Its pristine beauty manifests itself in its peaceful gardens, stunning palaces, huge hills, beautiful temples and captivating lakes. Agartala is the capital city of Tripura. Rich flora and fauna are the characteristics of this land. It produces tea, jute, rice and oilseed in abundance which makes it a commercial centre of Itanagar.

Bengali cuisine is quite famous here. Rice, fish and dal are the main dishes. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food is available. The place is dotted with several good restaurants where you can gorge on exciting cuisines.

Road: Good bus services connect Agartala with the main cities such as Guwahati, Shillong, Silchar and Dharmanagar.
